Also because of her advancement many become the follower. Other important facts which make her very popular among others are her awards. She has won many awards for her professional and personal works and also was awarded the first Bob Hope Humanitarian Award in 2002, the NAACP Spingarn Medal and in 1986, Woman of Achievement Award from the National Organization for Women. Time magazine also awarded recently her as one of the “100 Most Influential People of the Twentieth Century”.

She also bagged two times “People’s Choice Award” and National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ 1998 Lifetime Achievement Award, the George Foster Peabody Award, the International Radio Television Society Foundation Gold Medal Award, the National Boo Foundation’s Fiftieth Anniversary Gold Medal, the NAACP image award and the NAACP’s 1989 the best Entertainer of the Year. These are her awards and this will keep on going like a china wall, no one can stop her and her awards.

Establishment of Oprah Winfrey Foundation

Oprah Winfrey established her foundation in 1987, with the aim of helping women, children, and families who are in need. Also their aim is to support, empower and educate women, children and their families all over the world. Also she opened one national database of child abusers in 1991 and initiated a campaign against children abusers. She also established Oprah’s Angel Network in 1998 which raises money for charitable causes all over the world.

She passed a called Oprah’s Bill which was signed by the president Bill Clinton in 1993 and it became the National Child Protection Act, which is mainly for establishing a national level registry of convicted child abusers. She is a dedicated activist for children’s rights and to safe guard children who are abused in that time and as the rate of abusers increase day -to- day, she decided to form a Bill and got approved by Clinton.

As the years pass on she bagged many awards which you might have seen above and as the award increases her popularity also increases and got many fans all over the world. So she decided to reach people through her principles and opened Oprah’s Book Club which made her to reach the pinnacle in that field and was awarded the Gold Medal by the National Book Foundation during that year.

In the act of teaching the needs she also entered into the role of Professor and called as “Professor Winfrey” and she teaches along with Stedman Graham at North Western University’s J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

All her works were dedicated and all with the idea of helping the women, children’s and their families make her popular all over the world and got many followers and her foundation is running well with good well wishers.
