Oprah Gail Winfrey an American media personality, Academy Award nominated actress, producer, literary critic and magazine publisher does not have children’s. Winfrey was living from 1986 with her partner Stedman Graham. They had planned to do their marriage in November 1992 but unfortunately that ceremony hasn’t happen due to certain personal problems in Oprah Gail Winfrey life.

Winfrey had never felt sad for having children’s. She states that the reason she never had children was because her students at South Africa’s Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls were meant to be her daughters. Winfrey had proved that she is not master in her voice she also proved that she is a master in humanitarian aspects. This is evident from the words of Winfrey for not having children’s and that words are “I never had children, never even thought I would have children. Now I have 152 daughters; expecting 75 more next year. That is some type of gestation period. I said to the mothers, the family members, the aunts, the grannies – because most of these girls have lost their families, their parents — I said to them, “Your daughters are now my daughters and I promise you I’m going to take care of your daughters. I promise you”. Winfrey best friend Gayle King says that “When I watched Oprah with those girls, I kept thinking she was meant to be a mother, and it would happen one way or another”.

Winfrey More than a Mother

Gayle King feels that Winfrey is more than a mother for that girls giving the security also which generally the fathers give. She specially adopted girls because of those horrible things happen to her during her small age. Winfrey will sometime wear dresses made of potato sacks; because of this her neighboring children’s will make fun at her by teasing her. Her grandmother will also beat Winfrey with a switch if she misbehaved in any way. Winfrey had also stated that she was molested by her cousin, her uncle, and a family friend, starting when she was nine year old. Winfrey had a most disgraceful life in her childhood. These are the maximum torture that a society can offer to a young girl. Because of this torture and knowing its pain Winfrey decided to adapt girls who are in a risk of these terrible things. For this reason only the media are stating that Winfrey is more than a mother for that children’s. And a leading magazine says that the children’s are more gifted because they had landed into a safest heaven that is none another Winfrey hands. Newsweek described a student named Thelasa Msumbi hugging Winfrey extra tight, and whispering “We are your daughters now.” Winfrey also teach to those students via the satellite.

Winfrey plans after Retirement:

And Winfrey plan to spend her whole life after the retirement with those girls only. For that she is building a house in that campus where she can use the dishes, sheets and curtains which the children are using. These are the words that Winfrey said about her plans after her retirement “I want to be near my girls and be in a position to see how they’re doing,”
